Volunteer Opportunities
Our Volunteers make the difference in the lives of the parrots located in our rescue and foster homes. The daily tasks are essential to improving their quality of life, and we are staffed by an all volunteer team. We also have opportunities for people to do office work, computer work, Instagram Posts, Facebook Posts, photography, web design, and so much more. Parrot Care
Cage Cleaning, scraping, wiping down, changing out tray, washing off toys
Power washing cages
Feeding:
Feeding - Seed, Pellets, Fresh foods
Watering - Fresh water daily, washing water dishes
Grooming - Will train, must be checked off before any solos
Prepare fruit and/or veggie chop for one or more days (day time or evening volunteers) Must be removed within 2 hours
Cleaning the building:
Sweep, mop, and vacuum
Dusting
Washing down toilets and sinks
Parrot Handling:
Working with parrots with behavioral issues
Socializing birds in the facility
Making toys or enrichments for parrots
Education
Give Presentations (once trained)
Advanced Training class
Technical writing
Outreach committee
Design
Creative Designing
Web Design
IT
IT Skills
Handyman
Help with repairs
Installing electrical outlets
and other duties
Transportation
Transport parrots to vet appointments
Transport parrots to and from events
